Rumoh Aceh (the house of Aceh) is the most recommended place to visit while you are in Banda Aceh. The location is closed to governor's house (meuligoe). While you entered the yard, you will feel the soul of Aceh very strong from engraving and the color are dominated namely consisting of red, yellow and black, with cost of s ticket only 750 IDR for local and 1000 IDR for foreign (I dont know the present proce) you be able to see the atmosphere inside Rumoh Aceh (Aceh's House)

After you get the ticket you are welcome to came inside the house, the rule which must be obeyed were opening sandal and shoes when entering a house of Aceh. After up the stairs then you will see the photographs of some warriors from Aceh such as Sulthan Iskandar Muda, Teuku Umar, Cut Nyak Dhien and Cut Mutia.

Aceh traditional house divide into three room with different uses, the first room we called “seuramo keu”  or front desk that serves as the parlor and stretched wide along home, used to welcome guests, religion activities and as a deliberation. Neatly arranged with small met, called “tika duek” used by guests to sit or for deliberation.

Next room is Seuramo Teungoh (central veranda) or called “rambat”. Specially used for householder and relatives or if a man for those who familiar with the whole family. A central space consisting of a  bridal room, Aceh’s wedding, cabinet containing cutlery made foreign made, equipment for ceremonial and equipment for worship.

One room left namely “seuramo likot” or called back veranda. This room is used as a special family and also for a kitchen as a room laid at the eastern end in this room because when praying family members then there will be distorted by activity in the kitchen. All family members gathered in this room and it can be as a do various activities like parenting and daily activities such as sewing and mat weave. So in this room we also can see the cupboard containing kitchen utensils and mat that can ready used when needed.

By knowing the customs of Aceh may make us  love our own culture become deeper and we can show the world that Aceh is a land with a rich culture and make other came and learn then we will be very proud to say” I am an Acehnese am I am proud of  born in Aceh.
